The name of the game, FreeCell, comes from the four free cells in the top-left corner of the game board which can be used to temporarily store cards. Of course, all you need is a deck of cards to play the game. Daily games and puzzles to sharpen your skills. You can't move more cards than you have free cells. And what's more: you need those open spaces to move more than one card at a time. This might make the game sound easier, especially as all the cacades are dealt face up, meaning you can see every card on the board – but as each cell can only hold one card, you'll find your options more limited than expected. (That's why they call it the "free cell game.") However, the Freecell twist is that, in addition to the four foundation spots (where you want all the cards to ultimately go), you get four empty cells that you can use to temporarily store cards as you shuffle them around the board. ![]() Freecell Solitaire uses the same standard 52-card deck you are used to, and the goal of the game is still to sort the deck into its four suits from 2 to Ace, using the gameplay board to create stacks of cards that climb in face value, alternating in color, to get the job done. The first Windows port of Softimage|3D, version 3.0, was released in early 1996. with the intention of bringing high-end 3D animation software to its burgeoning Windows NT platform, and subsequently rechristened it "Softimage|3D." In January 1995, Softimage|3D was announced as the official 3D development tool for the Sega Saturn. In 1994, Microsoft acquired Softimage, Co. Softimage Creative Environment was adopted by major visual effects studios like Industrial Light and Magic and Digital Domain for use in their production pipelines, which also typically included software from Alias and Pixar as well as a variety of custom tools. Its character animation tools expanded substantially with the addition of inverse kinematics in the second release, which was used to animate the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. The software was initially demonstrated at Siggraph in 1988 and was released for Silicon Graphics workstations as the Softimage Creative Environment. In 1986 National Film Board of Canada filmmaker Daniel Langlois, in partnership with software engineers Richard Mercille and Laurent Lauzon, began developing an integrated 3D modeling, animation, and rendering package with a graphical interface suited for visual artists. I decided it was finally time to update this recipe with more instructions and pictures so you can see just how easy they are to make. Is there anything better than a soft, thick, and chewy cookie? I’ve always been a huge fan of oatmeal cookies because there’s so many different things you can mix into them and they’re always delicious. These cookies are easy to make and so delicious! Step 7:īake for 15 minutes. These Oatmeal Raisin Cookies are super soft, thick, and loaded with oats and raisins. They’ll spread out while they’re baking so 1/2 an inch is good- you don’t want them to end up too thin! Make sure to leave a little bit of space on the tray between each one. Any regular porridge or rolled oats are fine. Next, add in 190g of plain/all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and 100g of oats. I have only tested this recipe with the margarine and have a feeling that the butter style will cause these particular cookies to spread too much. Make sure you use a spreadable margarine such as Vitalite for this recipe and not the solid, blocky style of vegan “butter”. Then add in your flax seed “egg” and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. In a large bowl, cream together 125g of dairy-free margarine, 100g of soft brown sugar and 75g of caster sugar until smooth. If you use the whole seeds, they won’t be able to absorb the water properly. You have to use ground flax seeds in order for this to work. It will look sort of gelatinous, which is great for binding the cookies together without eggs! Set it aside for a few minutes and you’ll notice that it starts to thicken and congeal. Prepare your flax seed egg by mixing 1 tablespoon of ground flax seeds with 1 tablespoon of cold water. Have a non-stick cookie sheet to hand or line a flat tray with baking paper. If you’re using a fan or convection oven, set your oven to 160☌/325☏ instead. How to make vegan Subway oatmeal raisin cookies Step 1: I’m really happy with the way they turned out! More vegan cookie recipes: I know that sounds like a lot of changes but it honestly wasn’t difficult at all and the texture of the cookie stayed almost exactly the same. To make them, I switched out the cocoa powder for some extra flour, swapped the butter for vegan margarine, used some flax seeds instead of an egg, and added lots of oats! I also used raisins (obvs) instead of chocolate chips, and added a small amount of cinnamon for good measure. And swapping the rest of the ingredients to make the oatmeal raisin version was a breeze! I only had to make this recipe twice as they came out exactly how I wanted them to straight away! But the recipe was easy to follow and the cookies were really simple to make, even without the animal products. The video no longer appears to exist so I can’t link to it. When stores were closed all over the world last April, they posted their recipe so everyone could make them at home. I adapted this recipe from the chocolate cookie recipe Subway released on their Facebook page last year. Do let me know in the comments what you think! Adapted from Subway’s own recipe Subway has discontinued the oatmeal raisin cookies as far as I can tell, so even if it’s not an exact replica, I hope this recipe helps to fill the cookie-shaped hole in your heart. These cookies are soft and chewy and look almost the same as Subway’s used to, so I’m going to guess they taste quite similar. The reason that I never tried them is because I used to really dislike raisins but I’ve grown to love them thanks to eating so many Christmas desserts over the years. ![]() I must admit, I never actually tried Subway’s oatmeal raisin cookies when they sold them in the UK so I can’t promise that these cookies taste exactly the same. ![]() I recently made a post about Subway’s vegan chocolate cookies and because I loved them so much, I decided to make some eggless oatmeal raisin cookies too! After looking at about 5 cd's with no luck, I decided I would just go to those who know the history facts. I was just hoping for a little history lesson on which of the so many old software CD's in my archives I can access and install to get to the font family I am looking for. ![]() I know I am asking virtually an impossible thing, but I am going to great lengths to make a machine that is free of updates. I would like to make alterations to the projects and then save the files with my changes and give the files back with my updates and not have the other users have to make any font replacement actions. I have a project that is using the type 1 helvetica family of fonts. I have a Windows 2000 machine set up and working (slowly, but working). But my small project of theirs will not be of enough importance to them to convince them to make the change. I would love for this client to make the switch to Open type Helvetica, like all other sane corporations. Migration to OpenType is most strongly recommended!! The same is true for applications from other vendors. That would solve your problem directly.Īll this having been said, you should be aware that although Microsoft still continues to support installation of the older Type 1 fonts and Adobe graphic arts software (including Acrobat) continues to support Type 1 fonts even under Windows 10, you should be aware that the last two versions of Microsoft Office (20) and the newest Microsoft V4 printer drivers no longer provide any support for Type 1 fonts. Or if you no longer have that software but do have such devices, contact the manufacturer's support organization and try to get a copy of the software. Thus, if you have a printer with actual Adobe PostScript, you should look for the CD/DVD that came with that device and find the installer for that software. Part of the Adobe PostScript license provided to our OEMs provides these OEMs (such as Xerox, Ricoh, etc.) to distribute those fonts on their host software / drivers software distribution. However, the easiest and least expensive way to obtain the fonts that are resident in Adobe PostScript-based printers / RIPs is to simply install the host-based fonts provided by the manufacturer of those printers. ![]() You mention that you “cannot” use that version? Perhaps you might explain what the issues you have are, other than the full font name. The OpenType Helvetica LT Std font family, part of the Adobe Font Library, available either as part of the Adobe Font Folio product than can be licensed directly from Adobe or available from other foundries indeed has the same design and metrics as the original Helvetica family shipped by Adobe with PostScript printers. Those fonts are not public domain or “free” in any manner. Although you could conceivably “convert” such a MacOS-format TrueType font to a Windows-based TrueType font with the appropriate conversion utility software, in fact, such conversions may not be legal under the MacOS license agreement. The Type 1 Helvetica fonts that form four of the typefaces of the “base 13” fonts of Adobe PostScript are no longer licensed directly by Adobe to end users, for better or for worse!Īlso note that the TrueType Helvetica typefaces that are bundled with MacOS are not the same fonts that were distributed by Adobe or that were printer-resident in Adobe PostScript-based printers/RIPs. |
